The Precious Plate Athletic Club kicked off their 2011 season at the Loughran's 17th Annual Buffalo Alumni Rally 5K Run & Wellness Walk Monday, July 11, 2011. This run benefited the Buffalo Children's Hospital Lung Unit.

The Precious Plate Athletic Club hit the pavement with over 550 runners and beat the heat, running on the hottest and most humid day of the year to date in 90 degree temperatures. Way to go, everyone!

In the Award Ceremony at the post race party, Kelsey Ryan was awarded top honors in the women's category, coming in First Place overall of all females in every age group in the 5K run crossing the finish line at 20:31. Her fiancé, Pete Gratien, won Third Place in his age division. Congratulations, Kelsey and Pete!

The next run planned is the 5K Moonlight Run & Wellness Walk Wednesday August 17, 2011 at 8 PM in the Village of Williamsville, with the post-race party at Island Park - come out and support us! Go Precious Plate!!!
