Precious Plate Inc. Gives Back to the Community

September 11, 2011

On the 10 year anniversary of 9/11, Precious Plate, Inc. and its sister company Precision Process, Inc. of Niagara Falls, NY held their annual Company Picnic which was also a fundraiser for the Frontier Volunteer Fire Company.

“We believe in giving back to our community,” said Scott Law, General Manager and V.P. of Operations at Precious Plate, which employs about 150 people at its facility at 2124 Liberty Drive in the Summit Industrial Park.  Scott is also President of Precision Process, Precious Plate’s sister company located right across the street at 2111 Liberty Drive.  Scott added, “When Precious Plate caught on fire on October 24, 2005, some of our first responders were our neighbors at the Frontier Volunteer Fire Company.  We desperately needed their help and they were there for us.  We would like to give back to such dedicated community servants.”

“This is a really great example of a company turning what would normally be just an annual company picnic into a successful fundraising event,” said Toby Frederick, Human Resources Manager for Precious Plate and Precision Process.

Founded in 1940, Frontier Volunteer Fire Company Inc. serves several square miles in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, bordered by the City of Niagara Falls and the City of North Tonawanda. Currently, they operate two fire engines and one rescue squad. Annually, they respond to about 300 total calls for both Fire and Emergency Medical Service. In addition to about 40 active members, they have a special program for their Junior Firefighters, ages 14-17.

The donation check was presented on Thursday, September 22, 2011 to the Officers at the Frontier Volunteer Fire Company by Scott Law and Toby Frederick.  To learn more about or contribute to the Frontier Volunteer Fire Company, visit www.frontiervfd.com.
